18th October 2011 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: WNW Wind Stength: 25-35 knots Surf / Sea State: Messy surf Air Temperature: 11ºC Sea Temperature: 14ºC Weather: Sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered: Colder out there today and the first time this autumn that I've been thinking about my winter suit. I was still in my summer suit which was a little chilly in the wind whilst rigging but fine once on the water. The wind was WNW and a little gusty whereas I'd been hoping for a nice easy Westerly so that I could blast up and down in the shallows. That wasn't to be and with the tide in I ended up having to sail out across the front of the groynes which is a always a little worrying when the waves are likely tor ip your kit from you hands at any moment. Still, it was a nice little sail in the sunshine and today rather than post a video clip of the best bits, I've posted a a little video of todays crashes. |
